Series stop after xx time, unable to start. Spinner keeps showing but nothing happens. Restart fixes

Running the official docker image for plex, everything is working fine but every xx time (could be days, weeks, even more) suddenly my series won’t play anymore. Movies still work fine and even some other series could still work but a certain episode(s) from a series will fail to start playing. Whenever i restart the docker container it will work just fine again.

In the course of say 6 months i have encountered this several times to the point it happened again today and though that i might not be the only person.

So my second step would be to check the logs when it happens again since it was restarted now but perhaps somebody else found a problem around this. It is not cpu/network/disk related also since a restart of plex solves it.

Any pointer or things to check (besides logs) would be helpfull.

I was going to answer but I have no clue what a docker is. Upon googling it, maybe you mean the docker.com and after skimming the site, i am still confused, it sounds like a confusing cloud service of some kind. If it is an online cloud storage site of some kind, reboot your router, check the settings haven’t been altered somehow and if using a vpn, turn it off.
I am tired and bored so answering unanswered questions as best as possible within the limits of my knowledge.
