Server crashing fairly often, not sure of the culprit

I’ve been experiencing some intermittent crashing across PLEX server versions, I’ve been unable to deduce what is triggering the issue, wondering if someone can look into it for me. I’ll PM my logs to whoever would like to look into it.

I’m now unable to connect to my server securely so I’m unable to download the logs from the latest crash above. I’ve updated to the latest version and rebooted the system and I’m getting the same errors below every time.

Need the DEBUG log files please which are captured after such a failure.

Screenshots don’t tell us anything. Linux service status tells us even less unfortunately.

  1. stop plex
  2. Make a tar.gz of the logs directory
  3. attach it

PM’d you the logs.

It happened again this morning.

PMS has crashed once a day for about the last three days. This has only started recently. Its happened at least once while running a scan for new content.

Logs can be supplied along with the crash logs but I’m away from my server at the moment.

I’m running ubuntu 20.04.

EDIT: Logs attached. Crashed happened approx 5:45 minutes after taking these logs.

Let me know if I should start a new thread as a different issue. This may not be the same.

I just finished suffering from a locked database myself, before that I was getting random server timeouts. It sucks this is happening, but I’m glad to know it’s not just me.

I’ve got another thread open for this myself. It’s been happening more and more frequently.

A reversion to the public release seems to be holding thus far. I also just realized this was a Linux centric post, and I’m running Windows 10.
Stable Version 1.23.5.4841

Will start a new thread if necessary.

May not be necessary if you’re suffering from the same type of issue, could be cross-platform.

Crap, no good. Crash again.

Ubuntu 18.04, I went back to 1.23.5.4841 which seems to be stable. Whenever I do get the timeout crashes, it’s typically in the evenings - still doesn’t make sense as to why though, resource usage doesn’t exactly spike at that time.

This is been happening more or less over the last month if not two, there’s definitely something up and I don’t think it’s us. I say this because I literally started my server from scratch last month.

Yes, I have experienced the sudden crashing as well. I am running ubuntu 18.04.

I downgraded to PlexMediaServer-1.23.5.4801 and will see if that version returns the stability.

I think I’m going to spin my issue out into it’s own thread. Sounds like it may be a different thing, since reversion doesn’t seem to solve the issue for me.
