Hey Guys,
i’m currently sticking with some Plex Crashings which are happening everyday multiple times, since weeks, i already moved my Plex to another Server (moved Database+Metadata). Tried multiple Updates on Linux (Debian 9) and twerking Plex (RAMDISK for Database etc.) but all of that did not help. Its Crashing (become unavailable in WebUI) and restarts 10-15min on itself so its becomming available again. When i try to stop it via the Linux Service (systemctl stop plexmediaserver) its wont stopping, also i cant stop it via a sigsys via htop (its become only a “D” dead proccess which wont stop) then i can only revive it via a reboot of the server. It’s crashing randomly without any Warning or any Note in the Logs (or i just can’t see it).
I’m bare before crying but the problem still persists since quite a few Updates (i think since around 1-1.5 months for).
My Libary is currently really big (around 16000 Movies and around 64000 TV Episodes) since Version 1.8 or so its on track and wont got replaced. Currently i have a i7-6700 with 64GB Ram on 1TB NVMe SSD as Server which are never on the Hardware Limit. So i dont think that this would be a Problem.
So if anyone had an Idea i dont have or a tipp or Anything i could try please help me!
Things i already done:
- Switched Hardware (another Server)
- Updated + Backroll to “Stable/Public” Version
- Disable HW Transcoding
- Multiple Linux Updates (Currently on Kernel 4.19.0-0.bpo.5-amd64)
- Manual and “Automatic” Database Optimization
- Linux Updates (Also Stretch-Backports)
- IPv6 Disable on the Server (Linux Side + Plex Config)
Server Version#: 1.16.0.1226
Player Version#: Happens on different players (couldnt figure out if only 1-2 crashing it)
lastest Plex Media Server Log which ends at last crash (as said without any message) is attached here. Plex Media Server.1.log (1.3 MB)
