Server crashing on startup

Server Version#: v1.15.4.919-8e2884e4b
Mac Mini running 10.14.3

I am trying to help my son figure this out. His server stopped running and would not start, he has now downloaded above version and the server will act like it is starting and then crashes. I see the below in his server log indicating his database is corrupt. Is it possible to repair without being able to start the server or do we have to blow everything away?

Have you tried restoring the database from a backup? Backups occur on a schedule if you have the option for “Backup database every three days” enabled.

Your logs shows your database is corrupt. Did you have back ups set to be made? Info on how to restore a back up can be found here https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/

in general you should not be running apps from your desktop. Put them in your applications folder. I don’t think that was cause of corruption just not good practice

Thanks for the reply, as this is my son’s server not sure if he had backups on. I will forward the support article and have him look. As for the app on the desktop, I had him put it there while we were trouble shooting, it was not there when the corruption occurred .
