Server keep "crashing" since last few beta updates

Remove the ‘Drivers’ directory (with PMS stopped).

When PMS restarts, it will pull the correct drivers (PMS 1.29.2) again.

This is a driver issue now.

trying to remember the magic. This is Ubuntu 22.04 being opportunistic and causing a conflct.

dpkg -l | grep gmmlib

Make certain you don’t have that installed

I will start asking around.

You are getting HW transcoding intermittently.

That tells me something isn’t letting go of the CPU correctly.

I’d love to tell you to go back to Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS and run that LOLOL

I’ve relaunch a 1080p video forced in 1080p@20m
then I’ve relaunch the LG video forced in 1080p@20m → NO BUFFERING, CPU under 15% the whole time

tell me is everything seems fine on your side (logs), I’ll monitor everything during the week (the first and main issue was the server being unavailable), then I’ll make a feedback there

It all looks good to me.

PMS isn’t the issue here and hasn’t been.

I’m mostly at the limit of what I can do short of getting my hands in the machine and rebuilding it differently

1.29.2 gives you TrueHD audio working
If you don’t need that, 1.30.0 if you’re brave

I’ll monitor then, should we expect a fix for TrueHD in 1.30.2 or 1.31 ?

So after almost 1 week, no crash whatsoever. I can say my issue is now fixed, even if the “solution” is hidden in a lot of posts in this topic, I hope it might help people with a similar transcoding issue with LTS 22.
