I currently house my server in a location that frequently has planned power outages. It'd be nice if I could alert my users that there will be disruption in the server for a week or two before the date. Something that when the either connect to my server, or try to play a file from the server, it pops up, and it says my message and then the user just clicks ok.
This could be useful for people going on vacation, where they power down their server, giving advanced notice could be nice. Has a commercial upswing too.
