Thanks - Used time machine to go back to previous version - lets hope the next release addresses this issue.

Could you reinstall the new version and grab the server logs manually.

I have this same problem and have tried all suggestions except rolling back. However, I don’t have time machine installed and I’m not sure how to manage to roll back without access to an older install. Is there anywhere I can get access to the previous version? Thanks

Can you guys check if your preferences file still exists and is not damaged? ~/Library/Preferences/com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist

I’m in the other thread mentioned above. That file exists for me, I also upgraded to 1.29.1.6316, and Mac version is 10.13.5 High Sierra. UPDATE : How would I know if it’s damaged ? It has a modified date from early this morning

I had the same issue previously. The post below includes my uploaded logs. In this situation, I was installing after wiping everything and starting over, but the errors were the same after an upgrade. It seems to fail on attempting to reach the Plex backend to claim the server.
