Server version issue

My server version of Plex is showing 1.9.6.4429. On my Roku, I am receiving an error message that 1.10.0 or higher is required to view the server data. In server settings, I can see my version number, but cannot update to a newer version. How do I get the correct server version?

All you need to do is:

  • Stop/quit/end Plex Server with the tray icon
  • deinstall Plex Server with the regular ‘Apps’ control panel of Windows (do not use 3rd party ‘Uninstaller’ software like Revo etc.)
  • for safety, reboot Windows
  • download the installation exe of the newer version and install it

(If you want to install an older version of PMS, take a look into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Updates)
