Player Version#:Plex for Kodi
The Home screen appears normal. It shows an updated list of recently watched, recently added, etc.
But the Movie and TV library screens just show blank thumbnails with no titles, and they can’t be interacted with. Media will not play.
I can navigate to a movie’s page (which does load and I even hear the external HD spin up) from the home screen and try to play media that way, but it then shows the media’s loading screen forever.
This was working fine just few days ago and I’m in the middle of doing lots of watch parties and this is a big problem for me.
I’m not very technically proficient but I think I was able to successfully verify the integrity of the database. I also installed Plex player on another computer and it works as expected. So I suspect this is a problem with Plex for Kodi. I already uninstalled and reinstalled it so I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to get the logs although I’ve enable debug logging in plex for kodi.
There is one other new issue: Plex for Kodi used to exit cleanly. Now it shows the loading ellipsis animation with three yellow dots inside a rectangle instead, and I must push the Escape/backspace to fully return to Kodi’s menu.
I have just reimaged two OSMC raspberry pi. I have exactly the same problem with plex for kodi on them. Ie contents aren’t listing and it doesn’t exit properly. I can play back ok on plex for the ipad. My server is older 1.21.3.4015 running on a synology box. The rebuild of the pi is the only thing that changed. Everything else in the system is working correctly.
As the pi’s were just reimaged they are running the latest plex for kodi. If there is a different version that would be better for them please let me know. It looks like I could possibly upgrade the server to 1.29.2.6364 if you think that would help but I need to take some backups first and they take a bit of time.
