Setting up library plex can't find folder

Mint 19.2 Newest Plex version
I just started using the Linux server and while setting it up when I would select library of Music or Movies it would show the drive… such as My Book… but I could not pick the folder the items were in because they were not shown. I have tried permissions and everything…
The drive is formatted NTFS but is mounted I can play items through VLC with no problem.

check out this post in the tips & tricks section. mounting can be tricky and if you’re mounting with default settings, the plex user on your Linux setup might not have permissions to see the drive or its content.

Thanks for the info. I am by no means a Linux guru so I really didn’t have much of an idea. But, I worked at it, kept getting error6, couldn’t saves, no access, finally after the last don’t have permission I was upset and just shut it down and said forget this. When I restarted it… It worked. I hope… Thanks again.

error numbers to remember:

6 = DNS lookup failure
13 = permission denied
28 = timeout
