Settling into retirement

@BigDan

I get messages because I’m pinged. (as a regular user).

I can’t be of any help here. I’ve no access to employees like I used to.

PS: I’m a Mac user now.

Is this what happens to us aging Linux users? Say it isn’t so!

HAHAHAHA!

I got so tired of fighting with Gnome (the ONLY reason I considered the Mac) that a stable, predictable, usable GUI was more important than the underpinning of Unix -v- Linux.

If I didn’t have my Ubuntu Server machine, the switch might not have happened but this way,

  1. I still have Linux
  2. I still have Incus
  3. I still have blazing NFS on 10 GbE
  4. My RAID card still screams

Is there anything else in life that matters?

PS: I’ve setup the Mini (M4 Pro - 12 Core - 64 GB - 2TB - 10GbE) with a few custom NFS scripts that run at system startup.

PSS: I LOVE the desktop. drops mic

No! Not a Mac !!!

Now you’re a mere mortal like the rest of us I noticed Plex deleted all our messages from the years.

Are you having issues on your C1 by any chance ?

Me? A mere mortal? NEVAH!
I can already make the Mac do things normal people can’t. :stuck_out_tongue: lol
( All the media and development tools I have on the NUC are also on here )

My forum posts have been deleted ??

Private messages have :frowning:

We should take the to a new thread as it’s off-topic but I did close all work-related PMs before leaving Plex’s employ

I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE ANYMORE

j/k

Nice to see you back!

I’m not “back”. I just happened to get a ping and looked into the forum.

Still dealing with health issues.

My personal views might be different than my employer. :cowboy_hat_face:

Definitely not a Apple Desk…

Just saying…

And it’s not mine either

Taking pictures at the local Apple Store, are we ?

LOL

Illustration purposes only, the last time I was in physical Apple store, it was a different Millennium. Picture courtesy
