Shared Libraries not showing up

Hi everyone!

 

I have PlexConnect set up so that my family could view my libraries via our Apple TV. As I didn't want them to affect my On Deck and played/unplayed I created a dummy Plex account and shared my Movie and TV libraries with it. I then signed into PlexConnect using this account and those libraries would show up in the Shared Libraries section. This has worked for me for quite a while and it meant that they could watch what they wanted via Shared Libraries on PlexConnect and have their own On Deck separate from my own. A couple of days ago Shared Libraries all of a sudden stopped showing up (No Plex Library Sections Available is displayed) and the only way I could access my libraries was by disabling authentication and having them show up in the local libraries section. This defeats the purpose of me creating the separate account in the first place as anything they watch now affects my On Deck.

a. aTV still logged into myPlex? Sign out/in again?

b. There is a setting to hide top items: aTV->PlexConnect->Settings->Main Nav Bar->...

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried signing in and out of myPlex on aTV but it didn't seem to work. The Shared Library section is enabled on the Main Nav Bar, it shows "No Plex Library Sections Available".

I'm not sure what you mean. When I log into the same account via the Web App the shared libraries show up like normal. These libraries have been shared from my main Plex account and have been showing up fine in PlexConnect for months until they disappeared a few days ago. Hope that answers your question!

Maybe this is an issue of PlexConnect (until today) not supporting the Plex Home feature? Try the new version and see if it works now?
