Shared Library does not show up

Hello there!

I am trying to share a single season of a TV show with a friend through the “Grant Access” option on the Plex server. According to Single Item Access | Plex Support My friend should see a “Shared” item under the server list, but this does not show up.

If I check what I have shared with that friend I see that the show is shared and if he checks under “home and library access” he sees that I shared it with him but the icon of the show is also not there.

If I share a full library with someone it works flawlessly but I just want to share a single show with this person and not my full library.

I tried removing and adding the friend again, removed access and gave access again. I checked using the Plex App and also through a web browser. “Shared” does not show up, whatever I do.

Does anyone have a idea / clue what I can do to fix this issue?

Has your friend checked if the Shared item might be hidden in the More section of the sidebar? In what particular app are they not seeing this?

Thanks for your reply. The “Shared” item suddenly appeared in their libraries. I guess it takes some time to sync or something.
