Why aren't my admin Shared / Grant Access Playlists showing up for a user?

I’m the admin, I shared a playlist with my wife who is a user. We both have Plex Pass if that matters. However it doesn’t show up in the Plex app or the Plexamp app on her iPhone. According to what I’ve read, in the Plex app it’s supposed to be in a section in the left menu called Shared. But there’s no Shared section at all, not even when I click More.

But if I go to her Plex app settings, then Library Access, then click on my username, it shows the server I’m sharing with her, and when I click the down arrow for that, it says I’m sharing the Music library and “2 shared items”.

Yet… those shared items are nowhere to be found in the Plex app nor the Plexamp app.

Help?

They will not show up in Plexamp

Does the Music LIbrary show up

In the regular Plex app After you click MORE and it shows your server libraries it should be with any other libraries that you gave her access too.

This screenshot is Android but iOS should be the same.

Test server and Media LIbrary are the servers of a couple friends that gave me single item access to some things

.

No I don’t see any Shared item in the sidebar…

have you tried force quitting and reloading app?

Yep, no difference. Also tried logging out/in again. No difference.

can we get the ios logs from the app after loading that page

I’ll see what I can do, I don’t have her iPhone in front of me right now.

I mostly solved it myself, by implementing the ability to add a playlist directly to a user account with my playlist generation script.

This bypasses the quirks of Plex playlist sharing, with the benefit that the playlist also shows up in Plexamp which is important to me because I don’t use Plex for anything other than music.
