I noticed over the last week, I will see remote shared users watching something and if they stop it half way through, it will randomly show up on my on deck that I watched half the movie or show. I also noticed some shows that they watch all the way through, the next episode will show up on my on deck that its the next one for me to watch when I’ve never watched that series.
Anyone else experience this or know whats going on? I asked other users and they haven’t reported seeing this, wondering if its because its my server and thats why I’m getting others on deck?

Are those users using Plex on the same network as your server? What version # of server do you have?
no none of them are on the same network as my server. My server is up to date: Version 1.1.0.2611.
the next time is happens if you happen to see it pop up in front if you can you grab the server logs. so we can see why it thinks you are the person who played it back.
( also can you try optimizing your database. wondering if something might just be out of whack )

So it happened again last night. I pulled the log file with in a couple hours of it happening, there was like 5 shows that showed up on my on deck from other users.
I also just noticed theres a new plex update, going to get that installed and keep monitoring it.
I remember this happening about a year ago with my server, it started out of nowhere, server logs were pretty much useless. It wasn’t until I traced the IP to the user that the server wrongfully was reporting as me, unshared and reshared my server with him again that it stopped.
Did you have to completely remove them? or just share nothing with them, save, then re-share it? Going to be a pain in the ass if I have to completely remove the them and re add them, I know its multiple users.
Here another log, it just happened again.
Looking at your log I only see you and the guest account being used. I see a lot of devices authorized to use the guest account. That means you either logged into your account and switched to the guest user yourself, or you gave out you admin info so others can authorized the client. If you did the latter, maybe these users didn’t switch the account and continues using your admin account.
Can you indicate which movie is showing that you think shouldn’t be?
Ray Donavan was one. I’ll have to check on the guest account, I don’t recall enabling it. I havent given out my info to users, I make them use their own.
It would appear guest is not enabled, is there another way to check to see if its enabled?
I think this issue was caused by Trakt.tv, once I removed them from talking to eachother, the issue went away.
The trakt.tv plugin supports filtering. Once you enable the proper filter, it should only care about your own playbacks and write only these into your database.
