I have a plex server set up on a PC, my husband and son also have devices and can use the same library. I have shared playslists with them which I can see in users and sharing but they can’t access at all- not visible at all from their account. Can anyone help?`

If you shared that playlist, it’ll only show in the Shared section of their own accounts. Single-item shares are not showing up inside a library shared with users.
If you have applied a restriction profile to your son’s managed user, he will only see items in that playlist that match that restriction profile (e.g. no R movies for any of the kids/teen profiles – even if they’re part of your playlist).
Generally, only the owner of a server can share their content. I think this is to avoid people from forward-sharing and Plex being seen as a file-sharing platform (and prosecuted accordingly).
