Shared Folders..... (again, right?)

Hi All and sorry for this post but could someone please give me a definitive answer?

I’m running a service and I’m a paid member.
There are playlists I want to share with my brother.
Having shared, then logged in to his account, I cannot see them in the list.

Does the feature REALLY work??
If not, that’s fine but can someone please say so?
The hours spent trying to address this and the other threads that don’t really provide an answer is eroding my love for PLEX.

Thanks in advance.

Plex doesn’t currently (to my knowledge) support “Playlist” Sharing it’s really just “sharing” an invite to your server.
I’ve had to go in with WebTools and copy the Playlists to the Home Users accounts on my server to “share” them. Only way I’ve found that actually works.

You can share an individual playlist like you can share a single movie. they will only show in the “shared” source however not in the library. if your brother is not seeing that shared source then please try sharing a single movie as well. There might be something funky with that source not showing up, which I’ve heard of happening but have never been able to reproduce it.

Thanks boys!
I’ll use collections to share lists of stuff.
The annoying thing about collections is that you can’t share TV and Movies in the same collection.

So my “Complete MCU” folder of EVERYTHING won’t work.

Good to know though, I can stop TRYING.

I’ve seen threads saying that playlists can’t be shared because users can change them.
Can PLEX add a button to deny user editing and put it in the “advanced” section of the folder??
