I was thinking that it might be a fun idea to be able to share a small clip of a particular tv show or video in your plex library through a public link. I wanted to just share a particular scene of a show with someone over IM and thought that this would be an easy way to do that. I would think something similar to the timecode URL with youtube would work or some sort of interface through Plex Web could do it where you input the start and end time within a particular show and then it would produce a public URL that could be shared to anyone or it could be locked down to only be accessible to those that the server is shared with (whatever you want).
Also instead of just producing a link to send to people it would be nice to also have the option for just that small clip to be transcoded and then downloaded or maybe immediately upload to youtube/other sources.
Not sure if this has been suggested, but I couldn't find anything
