With many thespians preforming in a both movies and tv shows these days it would be great if you could give us the ability to see all media that they are in we go down and select them in the cast list.
for example I’m watching a tv show with Jeremy Renner and I want to see other media he has been I go down and select his picture in. Unfortunately it will only show me what TV shows he is in not any movies and vice versa when I’m watching a movie he is in I can only see other movies.
you would think would be pretty easy. you have the search functions for both written out & if I had to guess they are pretty much identical. it shouldn’t be to hard to format the search results page
Be sure to read the FAQ section as it describes various reasons why you might not be seeing the feature (not using the modern agents for your libraries, enabling include adult content, etc…).
yes this appears to work for “Plex” hosted media only. it does not work with media hosted locally. Sorry I was not a little more clear on my orig7nal post.
If the server is configured appropriately and you’re using a supported client (listed in the article I linked) it will work for all media, hosted and local. It is not limited to Plex-hosted media by design. The article I linked contains some information about why it might not be working correctly in the FAQ section.
Though, to clarify, you mentioned music and I don’t think this feature supports it at this time.
