I have found that movies that use AAC 5.1 (6 channels) do not play on my Sony TV. It just hangs. I have to convert the audio to stereo (2 channel). However, no player (TV / desktop) allows me to see which version has the downgraded audio. It would be great if the players could include audio specs as well as video specs under versions, e.g.
2.6 Mbps, 1080p, AAC 5.1
2.6 Mbps, 1080p, AAC Stereo
