On the newest plexamp (v4.11), when I attempt to shuffle a downloaded playlist while disconnected from my server (like when in airplane mode), plexamp loads for a while and then shows an error saying “couldn’t start playback”. If I reconnect to my server, shuffle works fine. Tapping play on the playlist or playing an individual track works normally while offline.
I’ve tried redownloading my playlists and also clearing all data from the app and starting fresh. The issue remains.
Some further details from debug attemps:
If, when online (connected to server), I manually refresh a downloaded playlist, I can then go offline and shuffle that playlist one (or sometimes more) time before it starts to fail again. I can’t determine any reproducable pattern beyond this.
We’ve got a few fixes coming up in the next release which should address this!
