Signing in with new user on Apple TV retains original user's episode watch status

Greetings Plexians,
I’m having a problem with Plex on Apple TV. I’m lending my Apple TV to my room mate, who has their own tv. To avoid having my episode watch status messed up when they watched shows, I signed out of my Plex client, and signed into it using their account. The problem is that the Plex client retains my Episode status, and not that of their Plex account. Even though it shows as signed is as them, when they watch something it shows as watched on my account.
I have tried creating a new “login” on the AppleTV for them and deleting/reinstalling the Plex. Still my Episode status persists.

Anyone have some clue as to how to change the account on Plex for AppleTV short of perhaps factory resetting the device?

If you log into https://app.plex.tv in a web browser as you, and they if they do the same as them, does the watch status appear as expected?

Is their account a standard/normal Plex account, or is it a Managed/Home user?

I will have to try the web trick, I’ll report back with the results.
It is a separate plex account with a different email and password that I have shared my libraries with.

Well it looks like the sharing for this user was removed from my Plex server for some reason. After adding the share it started showing up on the Plex web client as would be expected.
Of course this doesn’t explain why my content was showing up after logging in to Plex on ATV with their account, but I will test now to see if it shows up properly on ATV now that it looks good on the web client.
Are their any guesses as to why the ATV was showing my content with someone else’s account? Are there any Plex developers reading these forums?

Are you sure they weren’t … logged in as you?

Yup, very sure.
