Hi. So I use Media Monkey to manage and to usually play all my music.
However I also use Plex to play my music remotely when I am not at my computer.
So normally I add albums to MM and edit metadata there. Then the same folder is read as my Plex music library. So far it has been running great.
But I have a problem with one album. It is a compilation album with different artists on each track. But that shouldnt matter as I have the album artists named as “VA - Cruel Summer”. I have tons of compilations and I always tag the album artists like this (VA - then name of album). This keeps them together when sorting by album artists which I usually like to do.
Anyways for this one single album (none of my other albums are effected), this one album shows up between a “J” album artist and a “K”. I have no idea why. I have tried editing the metadata in MM to double check but it is correct and it shows up in MM in the correct order. I have done the “Plex dance” (twice now). I checekd that local data is being read and tags too.
I have over 500 albums and all show up fine except for this one. Its driving me crazy. What can I do?
