Skip 10 seconds in Plexamp

Where in PlexAMP can I activate “+/- 10 seconds” or how can I play my audio files in Plex?

I use (used) Plex to listen to long audio tracks (recordings of lectures, audio files form Youtube etc.) where I need to skip back and forth for 30-60 seconds … In a 180+ minutes file skipping for 30 seconds with the finger on the progression-bar is impossible …

Why is +/- 10 secs a standard function for movies but not for audio? Not all audio people are listening to are 3 minutes songs ….

Enter the Settings of Plexamp,
Experience - Player - Music Quick Skip
Directly below is the setting to define the skip times.

The recommendation is to have separate libraries for long-form audio or spoken word content. (separate from regular “music” content)

In the properties of these libraries, you can enable “Store track progress”.
Plexamp will enable the quick skip buttons automatically in an audiio library which has “Store track progress” enabled. (along with other related features, like automatic speech gap removal and loudness raise).
Libraries like these don’t require the above settings adjustment in Plexamp, if “Use long-form controls” is enabled in the same Plexamp settings section.

can the Qick Skip -10/+30 function be used on the widget/homescreen? Currently the QuickSkip only is shown after the iPhone is unlocked and the app opened - the widget/homescreen only offers “previous track - play/pause - next track”.
Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s the media playback widget of iOS.
I don’t believe apps can expand that beyond the available scope.

For long form content, Plexamp puts the quick skip buttons on the lock screen for iOS.
