noticed there is only the ability to fast forward/rewind and no skip fwd/back functionality. Also, when fast forwarding, or rewinding it doesn’t show the video on the screen moving, therefore making it difficult to know where to hit play. Any ways to fix, or plans to update?
+1 I want to replace the need for my Xbox 360 to view TV content, however I need the skip button to work or I need to see the video fast forward. It would be great if the skip buttons worked and you could tweak that setting to allow for how many seconds to skip forward. Even better if you do a long press and you could get a snapshot or something like you get in Media Center to see where you are in the video.

Actually works if I connect to Plex with DNLA with the Abox One media player.
+1 as well — really a bummer not to be able to jump through chapter markers in an MKV. Would be really nice to have a way to pop up a screen summarizing the chapters in the video as well (even if as simple as "1", "2", "3", etc) so we could pick.
Question: is anyone aware of a button to jump to the top level menu of Plex on the Xbox One? ie, the first screen you see, with the server select toggle on upper right? Looking for way to hit equivalent of home button.

I just checked and I do have Media Index Files used.
This was smashing my C:\ drive full with all the meta-data, so I symlinked this to a mapped network drive.. Don't think this should make any difference as all Metadata works on my library.
Disabled and re-enabled to see if it kicks back in, Scheduled Tasks are also set up to generate this also.
EDIT: Just checked and I can see the BIF files in my server.. Also the "Now Playing" (which uses the BIF files) also works.. Guess this is just an XB1/Plex issue..
