Small bug in the windows client

Server Version#: 1.15.4.993
Player Version#: 3.97.1

This is more of an interface glitch that didn’t occur previously and now does.

If you click the 3 dots for any movie and select Fix Match (or Match if it’s not been matched) and then attempt use your mouse to highlight the title of the movie (click and drag the mouse across the text) to then right click and paste new text to replace the current text, the highlighting action using the mouse causes the Match window to close (exit out with no save). The same occurs when attempting to highlight the year field using the mouse.

Note, when scrolling your mouse to highlight the text, the issue only occurs if your mouse happens to scroll outside of the boundaries of the Match Window. If you are very careful with your mouse scroll and remain within the text field only, it works as intended.

As well, if you simply single click on the title or year field instead and then use keyboard commands to highlight the text Shifted-End Shifted-Home if you are at the end of the text string, the text in the field is highlighted and you can then Control-V to paste your new text or year.

This issue with the mouse moving outside the match window causing it to close did not occur previously, but started happening a few months ago. I figured someone would have noticed this and/or reported it before. It’s probably something simple in the mouse settings for that menu that needs corrected or adjusted. (hopefully anyhow).

Thanks.

There is also a cosmetic bug in the Alerts log.

The entry that is added when scanning a library has the text “& quot ;” at the beginning and end of the name of the library. I’m guessing that’s code to add a quote character to the end and beginning of the name to segregate it from the rest of the text in the alert entry. This occurs when using Chrome.

I logged into my server using I.E. to verify if it was browser related or not, but the log only shows what has been added since I logged in and doesn’t go back to the previous alert entries.

ie: 8:04PM Scanning the "TV Shows - Active" section

The funny thing is it converts it properly to the quotation mark character in this message when saved.

So I’m not sure if it’s a browser issue or the logging since it displays properly here in Chrome, it should display properly in the alert log in Chrome. Yet it doesn’t.
