Smart PlayList: All tracks >=3 stars or Rating is Empty?

I’ve tried different ways to tackle this and can’t get it to work. My greatest hope was using filters “track rating is not 1 star” and “track rating is not 2 stars.” Empty rating (unrated tracks) seems to qualify as it’s not 1 or 2, but this results in an empty list.

Another possibility was bulk rating all tracks in list as 5 stars and voting down the ones I don’t like. Using a filter with >=3 stars would work in this case, but no bulk editing facility.

How can I achieve the subject with smart playlist filtering?

There have been a few discussions of this. Unfortunately, no resolution currently.

Thanks for the thread. Interesting & disappointing.

It looks like developers are mixing database fundamentals with user experience. Not Rated should be not 0 or considered equal to a database’s null. Easy query to write.

In any case, that’s why I was trying to compromise & approach from different angle: Assign all unrated a value & mark’em down as I don’t like. But Plex doesn’t allow bulk editing tracks. Strike 2.

Another way this could be fixed is to allow selecting multiple ratings in the filter, including Not Rated. Other criteria allows it.
