Hello I built a ‘hacky’ tool using webhooks, that looks to see if a movie/tv show is play/paused/resumed and adjusts my smartthings hub to dim or brighten the lights based on what the movie/tv show is doing.
I wanted to see if anyone had any experience building a full-fledged add-on to plex, if so, if you had any git repo’s I could take a look at that used webhooks?

That looks awesome, I read through it, does it actually use ‘webhooks’ or is it polling the system every 10 seconds like the docs discuss?
I’m also linux, and using mono wasn’t ideal. Were you running linux or windows?
I am using Windows. As I have a plexpass I had no need to use the Windows application and just use the webhooks into SmartThings. It was a while ago that I set it up, but from memory it wasn’t too hard.
I personally use it to switch everything off downstairs when I start playing a movie or tv program upstairs from my iPad in the evening.
