So Where Is The Graphic Equalizer?

I would pay $5 for a good equalizer app that you could install on any Google/Android and Windows. Right now I really want one for my Windows I8 tablet by Dragon Touch so I can adjust the settings once for my preference and let everything come out the way I like it. Anyone know of an App for Windows in particular? I already bought one for like $3 on my Sony Google TV which has Bluetooth so I run everything through that, even my Roku and it works fine but the tablet is Windows 8 which use the tablets outside. Isnt even here yet but I am assuming I need an EQ app like I did for the Sony TV thru the Google play store and that actually did the trick. Any help finding a windows app to do the same would be greatly appreciated.

I too would love to see an equalizer added to the plex music library.

A graphic equalizer would be awesome! I’m using the ipad plex client and unfortunately it looks like iOS has no globally applied equalization.

To use Amarra as Plugin would be great.

Don’t know if this is still current, but for my windows plex server, a program called ā€˜VoiceMeeter Banana’ (voicemeeter.com) more than did the trick.
It installs a virtual speaker as input on your system which you should choose as standard output on plex, and it allows for extensive sound management from there. They have plugins that should help about every sound aficionado in my unprofessional opinon. It’s also quite nice if you have several sets of speakers/headphones that you want to control plus network streaming. Needs some time to get acquainted with though.

EDIT: Be sure to set the virtual speaker as surround sound system in windows settings if you have that.

I will pay for the Plex lifetime pass ($150) as soon as there is a graphic equalizer in the application. I don’t care if it works against videos, I want it to work against the songs I have in my library. The sound quality from playing through plex and playing through an EQ’d app is quite noticeable. Thx.

1 more vote for an equalizer as I would really need it

+1 for this, I have my music library setup in Plex, however my headphones have a pretty flat response, and some EQ to boost the low end a bit is a must for me, so I’ve been sticking with Subsonic clients for the time being. Adding EQ is what would push me over to Plex

I’m tired of being ignored. Plex without an EQ is useless as a music player. Year after year, upgrade after upgrade and they refuse to address this issue. Almost EVERY music player available today has an EQ. Dear Plex… WTF… people have been asking for this for nearly a decade, how hard can it be to hire a developer to implement it?

Yes but sometimes we are at the mercy of source material… and a good fraction of home theater receivers do not have equalizers. I run my Pioneer with my PC hooked up to my plasma screen, but because my PC is an older POS it has no digital audio out (for now). I have to use the tried and true stereo jack to RCA cable method and would KILL for an on board way to adjust the damn batman voices everyone uses on TV today. If you get lucky you can adjust with a Chrome add-on but that’s only for some types of streams.

I’m very confused about the situation where someone cares so much about music that they go through the effort of setting up a Plex server to manage and distribute their music library… but they don’t care enough about music to get a amp with a graphic equalizer (the only place where an equalizer belongs).

For me it’s not for listening pleasure, it’s for tailoring the sound for each location you use plex. I do admit my reasons are a bit selfish since I suffer from hearing loss and I would use it exclusively to help me to better understand dialog when watching movies.

+1 for EQ. Lack of it sets the app back. My most common use cases are from mobile device to headphones or car stereo. Much easier to adjust for sound from the app.

Please, PLEASE add an equalizer to Plex!

Add me to the list… definitely a +1

EQ in plex app in android would be a great addition. I only use plex to listen and just got a new pair of headphones which need the treble backed way down! Add me to the list as well

I’d really like one too… I just migrated my music library to Plex, so it’d be awesome to have this feature.

+1 on this. Went from iTunes to Plex and an EQ would be splendid.

Me too, don’t need it on my lounge system as have equipment to cope with this, but the system in the kitchen is put together with ceiling speakers and a Class D amp module hidden in the ceiling with PMP and no EQ.

It’s all about location and budget…
