[SOLVED] Plex, Roku, unRAID, Edgerouter across VLANs?

I have Plex running on an unRAID server. My Plex container has it’s own IP address. I have Plex on VLAN10 and the ROKU on VLAN30. There are firewall rules in place on the EdgerouterX to keep the VLANs segregated.

I’ve tried to allow ports 32400 and 8324 so the Roku can see the Plex server. It sill wont connect. I want to connect DIRECTLY not REMOTELY as this is all in my house. My server sits 2 feet from my Roku. Does anyone have experience with Plex and Rokus over VLANs?

I use Unifi (USG) network gear and I was just able to get this to work. I temporarily placed my Roku Premiere on my IoT VLAN and created a firewall rule to allow TCP port 32400 to pass from it to my LAN VLAN. So, ensure you have such a rule created on your EdgeRouter. You may also want to make sure you have “LAN Networks” and “List of addresses and networks allowed without auth” set under Settings -> Networks:
20%20PM

You may also have to set up a manual connection to your server on your Roku device; I did not, but mine already “knew” my server’s address.

So I actually JUST got this working 5 minutes ago. It was the GDM Network Discovery that was holding it up. As soon as I opened the port range of 32410 - 32414 it showed right up on my TV! I also needed to open 32400 and I had 8324 open just in case. I have rules that block any traffic in from those VLANs to my Plex/unRAID server normally.
