Sonic Analysis Missing

Server Version#: 1.41.9.9961
Plexamp Version#: 4.12.3
I’m running the latest version of Nobara (42) on a refurbished Dell I turned into my media server. It has an i7-6700 which should work for Sonic Analysis. Where things get weird is that I had Plex Media Server running on a previous version of Nobara from the flatpak and Sonic Analysis worked there, but the flatpak was rolling farther out of date so I removed the flatpak and opted for a bare metal install of PMS. Since the change to a current version of PMS, I haven’t been able to find any of the options to enable Sonic Analysis in Server>Settings>Library or Server>Manage>Libraries>(music folder)>Advanced.

I’ve been racking my brain and trying to understand my logs to see if my switch between PMS installations has left something behind, but I’m way out of my depth.

Plex Media Server Logs_2025-08-26_21-42-57.zip (3.4 MB)

I’ve just updated to the latest non-beta release (1.42.1.10060) and the issue persists. I wonder if I’ll just need to back up my databases and wipe PMS for a clean install over the weekend.

From you logs I can see that you’re running a 32-bit install build: linux-x86 redhat. Sonic Analysis is not supported on 32-bit installs. Can you double check your setup?

Thanks for taking the time to go through this!
I checked the download page, and selected the 64-bit download. Upon running it, I’m greeted with a message that I have the same version of PMS installed. Would running the 64-bit installer override my current install, or should I consider backing up my configurations and database for a clean install?

You should be able to just uninstall the current version with rpm -e plexmediaserver Support Article You’re going to skip the directory removal part, obviously  . Then install the 64-bit version.
