Just took down a Sony X90J and set up a Sony Bravia 7 in its place. With eARC & passthrough enabled, the native Plex app on the Bravia 7 is sending DTS-HD to my receiver, instead of falling back to DTS (core) like my Sony X90J did (with eARC enabled). This results in tons of audio stuttering and sync issues. If I disable eARC, the Plex app will fall back to DTS (core), but it’s not an ideal workaround as I have another device plugged into the TV that would benefit from having eARC enabled in order to pass through lossless audio. I found another user in the Bravia 9 AVS forum reporting the same thing about a year and a half ago. Can we get a patch in the works for the new(er) Bravia models so that eARC can stay enabled and the native Plex app automatically falls back to DTS (core) instead of trying/failing to pass through DTS-HD?
