Sort by Date Modified

This issue mainly arises when rebuilding a HTPC or doing a new install. When adding an a large library at the one time, the date added just resorts to being alphabetical as they were added at the same time and sorting by date released does not suit as I have transferred many older movies and would like to not have them at the bottom of the list but rather in the order that they were transferred to HDD. What are the chances of this being implemented as there are many other users wishing for this functionality to be added and honestly, it is the major reason I do not use Plex as my main HTPC software. Thanks.

Order that the videos where created or modified ??

I see absolutely no purpose in this, even for home videos. Thoes dates from the OS are completely arbitrary and meaningless.

Could have value to find "lost" files that got merged into existing films. But yea, it's got limited usefulness to me.

Just curious: what are you using?

Personally, using JRiver Media Center...not as pretty but very configurable. For the rest of the family, XBMC with Aeon Nox skin.

As to the usefulness of date modified, well adding a large library at the same time will with date added produce an alphabetical listing, and date released does not help when older movies have been added recently and don't want to have them at the back of the list. Date modified is the only option left. I'm not saying that everyone needs it but it should be an option at least as it is preferable for many individuals. The fact that JRiver, XBMC and Media Portal all use it is proof of this. It is also something that should not be too difficult to implement.
