On all platforms I have my TV shows set to be sorted by ‘Last Episode Date Added’ - so that whenever as I add a new episode to a folder for an older show (e.g. 1st episode of Season 2) it it shown at the top of the list. This was working fine until this morning.
I added in Season 1 of a show where Season 3 had just started and, when I go in now, this is showing at the start which is fine but the other shows where I have recently added episodes but not watched are not showing where they should be.
The newest show is in Position 1, then the next chunk (around 40) are alphabetical, with shows starting with “C” and then running to “V”. It then starts over again starting with a show whose title starts with “1” and then a show starting with “A” and then sort-of alphabetically but not really as there is some apparent randomness (at least I can’t see any pattern).
Naming conventions seem to be a common issue but I think that mine match what they need to be as they are stored / named as follows:
Main Folder = TV which is what Plex is pointed at for TV, then I have:
Sub Folder = Name of Show
File Names in the Sub-folder are in the format:
“Show Name s01e01”
“Show Name s01e02”
“Show Name s02e01”
etc.
On some of the older ones I used to include " - episode title" after the episode number but haven’t been doing that for a couple of years.
Any ideas?
