When creating a new Smart Collection and using the sort method “Sort By Episode Date Added” it appear like it is working as it should be until it is pinned to Home or the Recommended tab.
Once it’s pinned on Home/Recommended tab it is not viewed there in the correct order. When you go to edit the collection or even just click on the collection to view all its contents it once again appears in the correct order. It is only when you are viewing it on home/rec. tab that it appears out of order.
Having the same issue. Changed my TV show collection sorting to ‘Last Episode Date Added’ and it ignores this setting completely when new episodes are added to my library. Instead it appears to apply ‘Date Added’ sorting.
I’m having this issue but nothing to do with collections. I’m just trying to sort my TV library “by last episode data added” and new ones aren’t showing up as they should. Been using Plex for years fine and now I have no idea why shows with newly added episodes aren’t showing at the top like they used to. All the other sorting options seem to work except for this one, and unfortunately this is the only sorting option I use… go figure. Anyone have a fix? It’s really thrown off my routine.
