They fooled me too, the link didn’t worked, it shows: No URL found for this tracker ID.
Just a thought, Should Plex send out an email saying this isn’t them?
I also got the email and have reported it to the monkey. (I dumped the entire source in the dialog box, I’m mean that way)
Just to update, their domain is now offline.

Hey everyone. This is not us! We were also taken by surprise as many Plex employees received the same email, myself included. We’re seeing very similar emails going out from the same outfit to former Boxee users as well. We are investigating and reporting them to their service and mail providers, but believe this could be related to the 2015 forums breach.
Hey,
I don’t mean to sound rude (you’re almost certainly not the Plex staff member who would be able to authorise/implement such an action, so apologies in advance), but where is the warning email from the Plex team advising users to be wary of messages of this nature? We’re going on almost 48 hours from when I received the email and the only reason I was aware of this issue prior to seeing the email was due to a tech article I happened to read.
Pretty disappointed Plex hasn’t already taken this incredibly easy and effective action to help protect their users.
Regards,

Yep. It is the same fools.
I do not understand what they hope to accomplish. It is clearly just bait to get some unsuspecting people to click on their site and then, probably, get infected with some kind of malware.
I would never click on any link in an email unless I am absolutely sure that it is from a company I deal with regularly and, even then, I usually just use links that I have stored in my browser.
There is just too much bad stuff out there to take unnecessary chances.

Same here. I only realized it wasn’t a legit partnership with Plex because I got suspicious and Googled it. (Because I’m considering subscribing to a VPN service anyway.)

Hi @kageurufu - this is @KelvZhan from Twitter (https://twitter.com/KelvZhan/status/849746208830738434). Do you mind replying to that request to ask for MyVPNHub.com to be taken down as well? That is the domain where they processed payments from. Not sure if it is possible to have this shut down due to it not being the original source of spam emails. However, as you can see above from @mm98, MyVPNHouse.com has proof of spam originating from it.
As a result, if you could add a reply for MyVPNHub.com and MyVPNHouse.com to be taken down as well on behalf of all of us, that would be appreciated!
Also, if you’re unaware, check out the following write-ups about this:
Good work everyone!
So is mailchimp related to the original spammer’s ISP? I just got this one and wondering who to report it to (if I should even bother):
Weight loss fantasy – not anymore

My brain doesn’t seem to be functioning lately. Where do I change my email address?
EDIT: Figured it out plex.tv/users/edit, but is there an easy way to get to it from the forums?
your forum account is not where your email is saved anymore ( because of the july2015 hack ).
you can also change it in the web app account page. https://app.plex.tv/web/app#!/account
