Specify inbound host/ip

So i’m in the unenvious position of being behind a carrier grade NAT setup. There’s nothing I can do about this. The way the ISP gets around this is they provide a DDNS service where I get a static hostname and a block of ports allocated to me.

The problem is that the inbound IP from DDNS is not the same as something like what’s my ip discovers. This means that even though I’ve mapped through I’ve specified the custom external port I need to specify an IP that is different to the one that plex is detecting.

I also have no idea how stable that IP address is, just that I can rely on the DDNS hostname to resolve.

Can I please have a way to override the detected IP address for inbound plex connections, preferably with a DNS name, but if not at least specify the IP that you should use for connections.?

Use the FQDN assigned by your ISP.
" Custom server access URLs"

Don’t “require” secure connections, unless your ISP also provides a fitting, publicly trusted security certificate for the domain.

`Oh - that’s awesome. I must have had advanced turned off when i was looking through there and then expected to find it under remote access.

Thanks, I’ll push into getting it working that way.
