Spin button for picking a random movie

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a button on the library that spins through the movie posters and lands on a random one? Then you could press play, or spin again if it’s something you don’t feel like you want to watch.

It could work with whatever filters are set, so if I filter for unwatched or just action movie genre it only picks from those.

I think it would be a fun feature and useful for bigger libraries.

While there’s no “wheel of fortune”-style spinner… you could already create that experience using a smart collection.

e.g. any filter, sorted randomly limited to 10 items — each time you enter the collection, you’ll get a new random set. You can also publish such a random set to your Home Screen.
