As far as I know, there is not a Plex variant of what you are referring to. What I would suggest in your case, is using the PlexBMC add on. It’s not perfect, but it works really well If you don’t want to install a host operating system.

I'm in the same boat as SavellM. Does the PlexBMC plugin just let normal XBMC use the Plex backend?
Pretty much. It supports most all functions that a true Plex client does, including MyPlex Queue and Remote streaming. One that is currently missing however is now playing support. But that is kind of a minor thing. It is also being updated fairly regularly.
I ran it as my primary client for a few months while I was having problems with Plex, and was pretty happy with it. I still run it on my Raspberry Pi, because I found RaspBMC to be much more stable than the Raspberry Pi Plex build.
