So caveat, need to be using Linux version of PMS, need to have possibly lots of ram as each show to record reserves 1 GB ram (I have 32 GB)
All you need to do is follow one of the many guides out there to get Plex to transcode in RAM, then create a cron job to symbolic link the .grab folder from ram to your “DVR” directory on boot; making it so .grab jobs take place in ram as well. Lastly, also make sure to disable transcode while recording in DVR settings as well.
That’s it! I reckon the issues stems for hdd/sdd not being able to keep up with how things are done.
