In passing, I have over 10 TB of music on my PLEX server and have learned how to deal with their respective data through trial and error for some ten years. KEY for me is the use of a “pay for” app: Tag&Rename I am uncertain whether this app is still being supported. NONETHELESS, once you’ve spent some time thoughtfully setting up this app-- including precious keyboard shortcuts-- processing albums including “various artists” collections becomes quick and easy. It’s amazing how quickly one can manipulate all the metadata fields quickly especially after configuring keyboard shortcuts! This program is absolutely versatile and batch changes on any field are possible.
Hi. I have no issue with tagging and maintaining my library and am happy with the software I use to maintain tags in my collection. I think this last response represents a misunderstanding of my previous posts.
