Storage location of thumbnails?

Server Version#: 1.30.1.6562
Player Version#: current/fresh installation
Windows 10 Pro

I have just upgraded to a new PC (Windows 10 Pro) and I have my OS on an internal 512 GB M.2 HD. I have a secondary 8TB internal HD, so I installed Plex on the 512 GB HD and my media libraries on the 8TB HD. My question is: Where are the thumbnails stored? I don’t want my 512 GB HD to be eaten up by those.

Counterpoint: You do want Plex Metadata on the fast SSD, to speed database operations, searches, and client access when they browse for media.

Hi, Volts: TY for that link. What if I were simply to install Plex on the 8 TB E drive rather than on the smaller C drive? Would the application create the AppData path on that E drive by default?

No, it doesn’t work like that.
Install it in the default location on C:
Then follow the linked procedure if you want the Plex data folder to be located elsewhere.

Ok. Thank you both for replying.
