With your help, I have managed to stream my videos and pictures from my Synology NAS (DSM 7.2.2) to my old Samsung SmartTV via my Android smartphone using the Plex app via Chromecast.
To do this, I start the Android Plex app, establish a connection from my smartphone to the Chromecast and can then play videos and pictures.
The only problem is that I don’t see the option to stop streaming pictures anywhere. They run in a continuous loop.
Even when I end the connection between my smartphone and Chromecast.
I can also see the running slideshow in thumbnail format on the dashboard of my PC.
Below it is the Chromecast sign with the text “Plex Cast ---- Chromecast Playing Local (IP address).
But again, I don’t see any way to stop the streaming.
