Stupid Noob question... I cannot sign into Plex...

Okay, kids… Stupid Noob here. New to Ubuntu and new(ish) to plex.

Plex server is v0.9.7.3; I cannot update until I am “signed in” to Plex on the Server>Settings>General screen.
Every time I attempt to sign in, I get a red error box stating, “There was a problem signing into Plex.”
No explanation otherwise. I am signed into the site normally, and I can sign into my account on the .tv website.

(Please note that I had (at one time) the server running on an older machine under this same account name. That was over 1.5 yrs ago. Divorce and relocation affected how long it has been since I have worked with this server… I have verified all passwords and I can see my own server locally from my Roku. (but it needs to be updated))

I have insured that I have port 32400 forwarded on my router (Linksys e2500), uPnp is enabled.
I have gone to “canyouseeme.org” and entered the port, and it is successful, so port blocking is the issue.
There is no firewall or AV installed on this machine yet, so that’s not a problem, and I can browse everywhere else.

Being that I am a noob to ubuntu, I get the feeling that I am missing something stupid, but I cannot figure it out.
Any suggestions would be VERY VERY helpful. I’m getting frustrated.

Thanks to all in advance.

Correction: “port blocking is NOT the issue.”
Whoops. Sorry.

Andddd… Please disregard this posting. (admin, how do I delete a post?)
I was able to manually force an update and that was the key.
I am now online manually.

Thanks for reading.
