Somehow (my ignorance) I got 2 servers set up on my network. Could anyone explain in real simple terms how to remove one of them? I tried un-installing the second one from a laptop, but my Plex app on ATV, is still trying to connect to it. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the ATV app to forget the second server, and now it is completely useless to me until I can figure out how to delete #2. I tried deleting and then a re-install of the app, but nothing works. Any clues for a simpleton?
BTW, it was working fine with only one server, why oh why did I think I could understand two.
Sign into your account at http://plex.tv and delete it from that list -OR- delete it from the list under the Devices tab.
After doing so, sign out and back in on the ATV
ChuckPa, Thanks, but when I signed in to the above, there is no list that I can find. Again, I am a complete moron, with regards to this, so it probably is right under my nose, but…
Thanks anyway…
It is only a stupid question if you already know the answer and aren’t willing to figure it out.
On your server: go to Settings - Server - Devices
Below, you see I have two servers named Moesern
. The current and the old. I click on the X
in the right corner of the old server name, confirm I wish to delete it, and it will be gone.
It is important you are signed in to your Plex account for both the ATV and your browser when you do this so changes are immediately and synchronized
Weird, I only see one, rather than the two it shows on ATV. I am so confused by all this, I have no idea how to regress to my old setup. I guess I will just bag the Plex system, it was too far over my head, and I was afraid of that. But on first install, it seemed so simple. But when I couldn’t find a Mac app for plex, I stupidly decided to install the mac server setup, and then all came crashing down. Thanks for trying, I am sorry that I can’t get to where you are showing multiple servers, and I have no idea how to fresh my ATV app .
Thanks, and sorry I am such a stooge.
