Started having some playback issues a while ago, as described here
In hindsight, my guess is that it started at version 1.18.0.1846
Looks like there were a lot of HW transcoding changes made? See here.
Roll back to version Version 1.17.0.1841 seems to have fixed all the issues so far.
Anyone else see this?
Subscribing since I was about to update to 1.18.0.1944 but was not sure if the latest minor updates have fixed it. Have they?
A new HW Transcoding feature has been introduced called zero-copy which drastically improves performance of HW based transcoding. Unfortunately right now it seems to be a double edged sword. Performance is wayyy up but quality is wayyy down. Specifically I’ve noted this with HEVC->x264 conversion but can’t say anything about x264->x264 as everything I have will direct-play x264.
