for like a quater to a third of all videos the subtitles are not shown with the plex addon for kodi (subtitle setting “automatic”). This does apply to all subtitle formats, whether text, or picture based. All the content is stored locally on a zfs raid.
I cannot tell the difference of these videos, they all seem perfectly normal (mediainfo information). Kodi itself plays them all without any problem.
When subtitle settings are set to “Always burn”, they are shown, but with the downside, that moving back or forth causes long interruptions, especially on 4k content (if it plays at all without stuttering).
Please take a look at that.
