Subtitles Offset Increments waaayyyyyy too small

Hi,

I’m a long time Plex user and one thing that is a drag is the subtitles offset feature (at least in my case) … I’m running the server on iMac and use Apple TV’s.

Most of my movie collection is from my massive DVD collection. When I rip / add movies I almost always do an edit at the beginning of a film to cut out “non-movie stuff” … was kind of a habit before I used .mkv and all of my movies were in MPEG format, 1 large file … so I was trying to save space. Also those MPEG files didn’t have subs so when I converted previous rips to .mkv they had no subs on these as well. Anything I have done since 2015 has been with Handbrake and I can include the subtitles so obviously no issue with those.

Anyway … the issue is the increments of 0.05s (50 ms) Sometimes my offsets could be several seconds (even up to a minute!) and flipping through in 0.05s intervals is ridiculous and when continuously adjusting the offset using Apple TV the Plex app crashes … always.

Is there anyway to have the choice of units? (milliseconds vs seconds) … and maybe even to manually input the number of seconds or milliseconds instead? That would be super useful.

Anyway … thanks for listening …
Cheers,
Kato

I’m the only one who has an issue with this? Hard to believe:question::exclamation::question:

I agree that the subtitle offset interface is difficult to use and could be improved, especially when subs are offset by many seconds.

Yes man yes!
