Subtitles Sync

Hey guys,

I’m pretty new to Plex, and have it installed on my PC, while I watch it using the Android TV app.

I have OpenSubtitles set up for both movies and TV shows. This is what it looks like under the “Agents” settings.

Now, in most cases it works perfectly fine, but there’s one series I’m watching that no matter which subtitles I choose (and I have 5 options when I choose a subtitles source from my Android TV client), they are out of sync.

What do I do? I don’t see any option on the Android TV client to fix the subs’ sync.

There is not much you can do unfortunately. I have to show Spanish subtitles on all my movies and series as my wife doesn’t understand English and run into this problem a lot.

What I normally have to do is first look on the OpenSubtitles website and look to see for which version of the series there have been subtitles created for.

For example: ScoobyDoo.1080P,DDP+.H264.WebDL.RARGB.Etc

If you see the subtitle for this version of the program or movie then try and get that version of the actual program or movie so that you know it will sync correctly. Sometimes if you see one that is close to the same name it will also sync up.

Other than that google for tools that let you adjust the Subtitle timings to try and get it to match up but I can tell you it is not an easy process and it is easier just to get the right video with the right subtitle.
