Sudden local streaming buffering after latest update to PMS

I suddenly can’t watch anything via Plex on my Android TV. I haven’t had any problems before updating PMS. Up/Down speeds should be enough. About 70Mbps down, 6Mbps Up, but up is not stable. Is upload speed important for local streaming, when both the server and the client are on the same Wifi? Youtube 4k streaming works with no issues. I have a Windows PC that has PMS 1.15.2.793 installed. Streaming locally, CPU should be enough, I watched anything I wanted no problem at all before. Tried various settings with transcoding, nothing helped. Tried reinstalling PMS and reinstalling the Android TV Plex client with no results. Any tips on what else I could try?

It used to at least buffer before and start playing again, and now it’s not even starting playback again after stopping. I’ve attached the logs.

Have had exactly the same problems. Up until a couple of weeks ago, perfect streaming on internal and external players. Since the update either takes an age to load, comes up with the not fast enough to play the film/program, loses connection or buffers every minute. Tried going back to a previous version but no difference. this is streaming to either a fire tv or android phone or navigating to the server via my sony TV (which seems to have had the Plex app removed from it). Everything is hard wired but have also tested on 2.4 and 5ghz wifi.

I am having the exact problem. Is there a way to uninstall the last update and revert back to the old server version? This is horrible.

You can roll back to an older version of Plex by going into your AppData directory if you are using Windows and have not deleted the previous updates. Uninstall the new version first then go to folder mentioned and install a previous version.

User > AppData > Local > Plex Media Server > Updates > Version folder

OK. Just installing 1.14.1.5488 to test and will turn on logs and post back if it doesn’t do anything. Have removed all remnants of PMS with and uninstall and deleting the folder in Appdata (kept all the older versions though). Lets see what happens.

There should be no reason for the fault. I7-7700, 16gb, GTX 1060 6gb and at least 10/100 ethernet

For some reason I’ve only got the most recent PMS setup file in User > AppData > Local > Plex Media Server > Updates

Actually, I just tried watching something via Plex on my Samsung Smart TV, and had no problems at all. I also didn’t have any problems on my Android phone. The only client that has problems is the Android TV. I tried reinstalling the Plex app, but it didn’t help. Any tips on what else I could try?
